MCBT helps people experience everything they are feeling in the present moment and enables them to understand how to do so without falling into mental loops of emotional ups and downs. A major aspect that differentiates between MCBT and CBT is that MCBT works on decentering the individual from their thoughts, in other words, it involves helping the individual to look at their emotions and thoughts in real-time from a third person perspective.
